The I-LanD Interuniversity Research Centre has signed an agreement with the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE) for the development of the Idee Cinematografiche Differenti project, an artistic residency proposed by the Research Centre that won the “Per Chi Crea” call (https://www.perchicrea.it/), financed by the SIAE and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
The project, which will be carried out in partnership with the non-profit association I-Ken, will see screenwriters under 35 create 6 original film subjects capable of investigating the concept of diversity.
The project promotes a professional, technical and artistic path, led by experts in the field, focusing on the theme of diversity, a word understood in its deepest social and linguistic sense, combined with the themes of equal opportunities and non-discrimination. During their 15-day residency in Naples, the screenwriters will develop their initial idea, to propose it – once defined in terms of subject – to an audience of producers and film commissioners during the OMovies International Film Festival of homosexual, transgender and questioning cinema. The original subjects will also be presented to the public that will select the best one, which will be awarded a prize to ensure its further development.
