Join the I-LanD Research Centre
I-LanD is an interuniversity research centre that brings together scholars working on language, identity and diversity across linguistic, cultural and gender studies. Becoming a member connects you with an active network, seminars, conferences, and collaborative projects.
I-LanD members contribute to research, events, and publications that advance critical, interdisciplinary perspectives on language and society. As a member, you can propose and co-organise initiatives, join working groups, and receive I-LanD’s communications about calls, seminars and various research opportunities. Enquiries are welcome from faculty, researchers, post-docs, PhD candidates and professionals whose work aligns with the Centre’s aims.
Membership requirements:
- alignment with I-LanD’s aims and research areas (language, identity, diversity; migration, diaspora, gender, etc.)
- an academic or professional affiliation (Italian or international)
- a formal proposal by a member of the I-LanD Governing Board: the application form includes an “I-LanD Proposer” section to be completed and signed by the Board member (name, position, university, signature)
- submission of the I-LanD membership application form with a short CV
How to Apply:
✔ Download and fill in the I-LanD Membership Form and prepare a short CV (max 2 pages)
✔ Ask an I-LanD Board member to act as your proposer (see the list of Governing Board members here). They must complete the proposer fields (name, position, university) and sign in the space provided
✔ Email the signed form + CV to the I-LanD Secretariat (subject: “I-LanD – Membership application”)
